Description
When asked by a creationist what it would take to falsify the fossil record of evolution by natural selection, the biologist J.B.S. Haldane replied,
"Fossil rabbits in the Precambrian."
This is an oil painting on 9 pieces of shale. I have made the pieces of shale into a puzzle which can be configured two ways. This is the second, the true precambrian trilobites. These amazing animals proliferated over 550 million years ago, filling many an ecological niche.
