Where were you when I was in school and was basically asigned to develop just such a device?! I love how your sketches look like they are from centuries old journals just discovered.

Thanks beardsely007...I am using a moleskine because I like how smooth the paper is, and then I tweak the lights and darks, and sometimes slightly the colour in photoshop after scanning them.
