I worked on this back in University. I've always been pleased with the atmosphere.
It has many images I am fond of, including the DNA candles I created and use sometimes as wedding Vanitas gifts.
The purple thing in the middle is a tardigrade (water bear).
The text on the figure's belly and head say, "This body corrodes, yet still I can move", something true of all the bacteria and microorganisms we share our ecosystem and our bodies with.
